Digitized Cutting Services

Digitized Cutting Services for Medical Devices, Respiratory Care, Aeronautical, and More

Every fabric or material requiring digitized cutting services has its own unique characteristics that can make precision cutting a challenge. With our expert engineering team and state-of-the-art CNC cutting software, we are able to cut a wide range of materials for your specifications. We reduce fabric waste and optimize cutting of tangent pieces using automated, vacuum cutters.

Our digitized cutting services features:

  • Automated CNC cutting capability
  • Optimized nesting reduces waste
  • Powerful software and digitized patterns
  • Precision die cutting technology
  • Extremely quick and accurate output
  • Industry best practices and added value

Our automated cutting machines can cut hundreds of thousands of parts per day for rolled goods such as webbing, hooks, loops, and other various materials. One example is our Lectra cutter, which increases our production flexibility. Our integrated technology solutions automate, streamline, and accelerate our process. With our digitized cutting services, we can precision-cut single prototypes and efficiently cut high-volume production.

Custom Design Capabilities

We have the ability to import client DXF files or create new patterns through CAD services. Through our CAD system and CNC cutting software, we can create your custom design. We transfer the desired patterns into a nesting software, which optimizes the pattern layout to minimize waste. We cut fabrics, thin plastics, foams, and multiple layers to save time.

FAQ's For Digitized Contract Cutting Services

      1. On average, how long does it take to complete a digitized contract cutting project?

It can range depending on how many pattern pieces and fabrics are in the cutting file.  Generally cutting fabric pattern pieces can be completed within one to two weeks after receipt of an order.

      2. How are TPI’s contract cutting services unique?

TPI can take your DXF files and nest your parts for the least amount of waste.  We can also digitize from a sample part, nest the part(s) and then send the cut files to our CNC.

      3. How do I know that TPI’s digitized contract cutting projects are high quality?

Before we begin any production projects, we always have the customer sign off that the product or service we are providing meets your pre-production approval.  Once that is complete, we turn to our ISO documented process to detail all requirements to meet our customers specific requirements.

      4. What is the average lifetime of a product created by TPI?

This is depending upon our customers’ requirements and the materials and durability each product requires. This is addressed for each unique product during the product realization process.

      5. Can we supply our own DXF cut files and fabrics?

Customers can provide their own DXF cut files and fabrics if they are looking for patterned digitized contract cutting services.

       6. What types of materials can be cut using TPI’s CNC technologies?

Our digitized contract cutting can be done on fabrics and certain plastic substrates.
